America : Heck Yeah!

Holy Apple Pie, Batman! The Towson 4th of July Parade was hands down one of the most fantastic days we have ever had.

We got to stand on a float! And wave!

Elena was the best at it:

There were so many people there - lots of them brought super-awesome hand made signs:

(It says "Duff Rocks"...sorry, my cheapo camera washed it out a bit)

It was such an overwhelming feeling getting cheered by so many people - even being nearly run over by crazed yet hilarious pregnant momma!

After we made our way along the parade route, we were treated to curbside seats by the grandstand to watch the parade go by. It was absolutely amazing. There was so much to see! Sweet classic cars (Galaxy 5-0-0!), phenomenal marching bands and drum corps, a fighter jet fly-over, our nation's finest - veterans and soldiers, pageant queens, cub scouts, and so much more.

My personal highlight? One word: WEINERMOBILE.

It's safe to say we're hooked and plan on coming back every year.

The 4th was not all play - we did have some work to do! Lots of people like to get married on Independence Day - why not? My favorite cake of the week was one Steven Colbert would be proud of:
