We are all very excited to be attending (and bringing a pretty cool cake) to Neighbors' Night Out 3 next Sunday, March 1st. For those who don't know the story of Zach Sowers, he was a 27-year-old member of the Baltimore community who was brutally beaten to death in 2007. His widow, Anna, has started a brain trauma research fund at Johns Hopkins' Neurological Critical Care Unit. All proceeds from next Sunday's event will go towards research for all who have suffered brain trauma injuries.
The event is at one of my favorite restaurants, Pazo. Owners Tony Foreman and Chef Cindy Wolf (Duff's old boss!) have donated all the food and wine for the event. Talk about generous! The event is next Sunday, March 1st from 4-8 pm and you can purchase tickets here.
Even if you can't attend the event, please take a moment to read Zach's story and consider a donation to his Research Fund. Every little bit helps.
