Charm City Cakes

Well hello there! Long time no see. I was on vacation last week and now I am woefully behind on the old blog. So on with it!

For those about to rock, we salute you
Friday, July 3rd - tomorrow! - Duff's band, soihadto, will be playing the House of Blues in Atlantic City, NJ. It promises to be a great show and what a kick asser way to spend the holiday weekend. Doors at 7, show at 8. 





Oh, and there's some other band called "Clutch" that is playing the show, too.

I hear they're pretty good.



Cakes I wanted to put on our website but can't
I wanted to add a bunch of pictures of some great cakes to our website cake gallery. Then I found out that we didn't take the photographs with a high enough resolution and if we added them they'd look icky. I'm such a dodo. But they are such great cakes, I can't let them go by unappreciated!

Erica's amazing replica of an iphone, complete with custom-to-the-couple apps.


Elena created this gorgeous wedding cake  - the hummingbirds on top were made of sugar and almost too realistic.


Katie replicated three Dungeons and Dragons handbooks and we were all totally blown away by how real they looked.




DEATH NOTICE
On June 19th, our beloved Kitchen Aid Professional 600, aka "Blackie", died suddenly of motor failure. He is survived by his sibling Kitchen Aids, ("Big Red" and "White") and his cousin, Cuisinart ("Chromey"). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Charm City Cakes - specifically, another mixer.
