Take me home, country roads...

Happy Thursday, everybody!

I wanted to share some really gorgeous photos from a wedding we made two cakes for last summer. These photos are by the super talented and incredibly sweet Anne Sachs over at Artful Weddings by Sachs Photography. Anne was kind enough to pass the photos along and I just had to share them!

Ainsley and Stephen wanted an elegant wedding cake that incorporated their colors and was clean and simple. But they also wanted to have their adorable little dog Gracie "at" the wedding in some way. The result? A lovely modern cake that featured figures of Ainsley and Stephen chasing their troublemaking pup, who was getting away from them on the cake.

I just love the expression on Gracie's little face! Licking her chops. So cute.

The couple also wanted a groom's cake that reflected how they met - as students at West Virginia University. The school's most well known building is Woodburn Hall, so we recreated the building in cake with the "PRT" (the tram system that students use to get around the school) carrying the bride and groom. It came out pretty sweet, but these photos really tell the story. I am in LOVE with these amazing and joyous reaction shots.

It doesn't get much better than that! Thanks to Artful Weddings by Sachs Photography for sharing the photos. Their work is amazing - if you're looking for a photographer check out their website. And thanks to Ainsley and Stephen for being such fun clients to work with!

Hope you're all having a swell day!

xoxo,

Mary Alice
