Now that the party is over, I just wanted to take a moment to thank you all for the ABSOLUTELY AMAZING cake that my wife and I got from Charm City Cakes. I'll be honest, we had some pretty high expectations for our cake, as did all our party guests. I am not sure what addictive chemicals or black magic went into it, but it was absolutely delicious and none of us could get enough. The cake itself looked fantastic and the service that we received at pick up was absolutely first rate.

The cake was fabulous! My only complaint would be that I wish it had been bigger so we could've had lots of leftovers to eat!

We watch the show all of the time and know how detailed your cakes can be. But TV does them no justice - we were all truly amazed! And of course everyone raved over how delicious it was.

Just a note to say thanks for the incredible James Bond cake that was delivered to our house on Saturday for my hubby's 50th. My husband, Mike, loved it! He could not believe the level of detail on the car and how cool the whole thing looked. So kudos to you on your design -- it was a winner! And I understand that Katie and Ben were the ones responsible for turning your design into edible art. Please pass along my thanks to them for a job well, well done! Your efforts truly helped make our special celebration even more special.

By the way, you should know that many of our guests were excited about having one of CCC's cakes at the party in part because when watching the show -- and you may get this often -- they always wondered if the cakes tasted as good as they looked. No more questions on that score! The cake tasted even better than it looked. My mother had 3 pieces! Okay, you don't know my mom so let me say this: she was a dietician so I was raised with very limited sugar and butter (horror!), no junk food, no soda, beautifully balanced meals every day....you get the picture. That she put away three pieces is a true testament to the deliciousness of your almond-amaretto cream cake! She could not be stopped.

Wow...... I don't even know where to start! The cake was absolutely incredible! It blew us away. As soon as we arrived at Glen Island for the party, our host suggested we go see the cake before the guests surround it. He was raving about it the entire walk over and rightfully so! It was everything we could have dreamed of and more.

We are still getting compliments on it! And not only did it look amazing, it was honestly one of the best tasting cakes I've had in a long long time.

Just wanted to let you know the Boar Head cake was a huge hit at the wedding rehearsal dinner in Bethesda last week. Everyone loved how you guys mounted it on paneling. The tusks and tongue were a hoot and we had some little girls that really enjoyed ripping the ears off. Also we loved the red velvet cake -- very moist and fresh.

Mike and I just wanted to say THANK YOU to Mary Smith and anyone else who helped work on our wedding cake!! We were AMAZED with how it turned out! The hockey sticks around the top tier - looked exactly like - hockey sticks (haha!). And we LOVED the blinking goal light on the top of the net! We were so happy to see our hockey skates done in such detail - our skates are our favorite piece of equipment.

Our goal celebration poses were right on! Mike was so excited about that. And lastly - our dog was perfect!! You got the marks on his face perfect and it really looked like him. We just wanted to thank you again for listening to us and putting all that detail in. All our guests loved it too and just laughed at how much it was like us.

Now that things have settled down after Heather's wedding on July 10, I just wanted to let you know how pleased we were with the wedding cake. It was absolutely gorgeous and exactly what we ordered.

Kieran did a wonderful job assembling the cake. Please let Gabe and Adam know that everyone was surprised how moist and delicious it was. Also, please tell Katherine that the decorating was nothing short of beautiful!

Even more importantly, if Katherine did the Scottie dogs and the bride and groom Phanatics, please let her know that they were just adorable. Heather could tell the two Scottie dogs apart because Connery, the older dog, had some grey. The Phanatics were outstanding, even the baseball bats in the bouquet!

Again I want to thank all of you for a wonderful job, which I know is sometimes very stressful. Keep creating dreams that come true with your cakes!

First, I would like to say...Yum! Adam and Gabe know what they are doing. The pumpkin cinnamon was so moist and yummy. It wasn't too sweet and our guests loved it.

Second, I don't know how Katie Rose did it, but the little figurine of my husband looked just like him (I really don't know if that is good or bad?).

Everyone was so impressed with the fish. They all noticed the scales, and I personally thought the parsley and lemon were awesome touches.

When my husband found out that we ordered a cake from you, he was actually giddy. He is a CPA and an Attorney (not usually known for their giddiness, but more gray pinstripe type personality). It was so out of character for him, but he was thrilled...beyond words. He loved the flavor that we chose, he loved the idea of putting the whole sick, poisonous fish thing behind us (thankfully for me, no divorce papers needed to be drawn up). Most of all, we were able to give him an experience that he loved and appreciated. It was all worthwhile.

Each and every email, phone call and personal visit was a joy. It is clear why Charm City Cakes is so successful. We wish you continued success. Thank you for an amazing experience.

Now that the big event is all said and done, I have to say a HUGE thank you to CCC for the amazing job you guys did on our cake this past weekend! My parents absolutely loved it, they were floored by the surprise party, the cake, everything. It was truly the best anniversary gift they ever got (asides from actually getting married).

A big big big thanks to Katie Rose for all her hard work, the cake looked amazing and everyone was beyond impressed by her skill. Also a big thanks to Ben for getting up early to let us pick up the cake, and for showing us around the bakery and answering my cousin’s decorating questions.

Really, you guys totally made our day and the event. AND you solved once and for all the question of “do those cakes actually taste good?” which was a complete and resounding YES. the cake was absolutely delicious!

We loved the cool touches Erica thought up, like the 18 made out of tennis balls, and the amazing details like the rounded edge of the ice rink and the squared edges of the tennis court and the incredibly tiny writing on Alice’s jacket. We finally were brave enough to cut into it and it was just as delicious as it was beautiful, so kudos to your bakers as well.

The occasion was spectacular and Alice and Charlie feel thoroughly celebrated!

I can't thank you enough. The cake was amazing - and I'm not just talking about how awesome it looked. I've been vegan for 15+ years (and I like me some cake) and I don't think I've ever had a vegan cake that tasted as good as yours did. It was incredibly moist and delicious - particularly the orange vanilla. You all should definitely add that to your cadre of vegan flavors if it is not a regular. You know, my biggest fear was that the cake would look good, but taste awful. Thankfully that was not the case. It blew me away.

You folks are all awesome - thank you so much for making my wife's 30th a birthday she will never EVER forget. I'm sure you have a million and one references, but I'd be happy to serve as a "vegan cake reference" in particular if you ever need one.

Well, thank you doesn't even begin to sum up my gratitude for the amazing confectionary piece that showed up here last week! WOW!! Absolutely fantastic!! The delight and amazement on the part of our employees was over-the-top. They simply could not believe it was actually a real cake!

I wanted to see if it was too soon to book another cake for our event next year. We'd L-O-V-E to work with you again. Please extend my thanks and that of my son Scott (he''ll probably write separately as well) to all that had a part in making the fantastic cake for his surprise birthday and especially Duff for designing such a great cake. Also, it was a pleasant surprise to have Erica deliver the cake and to work on it because we have a mutual friend. Please tell Erica how much I appreciate her showing my granddaughter how to put in the "lights" on the police car.

It was beyond my wildest expectations. The figure of Scott in the 80s outfit was absolutly perfect (loved the sunglasses on the head and him being "busted" up) and he got a big kick out it as did his friends and family. He was totally blown away by the whole thing and especially all the intricate details that went into duplicating his bikes and car. He especially loved the skid marks and that his BMW had run into the police car. That was a great surprise. It was all just simply perfect and the kids got a big kick out of playing the siren over and over. We also had fun with the dry ice and seeing the bikes "smokin". We couldn't have asked for more!!

It was a great party but the worst part was having the cut the cake. We just stood there and said "We don't want to do this." However, the three different flavors of cake were fantastic. Folks raved about the taste. I don't know which we liked better - although Scott was in heaven with the browine cake. We did manage to have some of that left over for him to take home, but we demolished both cars and all of one of the brownie sides and half of the other. The "after" picture wasn't pretty...

Thanks again to all who were involved. We loved everything about the cake and then some!

A quick note to say how incredible the Bucky Badger cake looked for my son's wedding. I was lucky enough to help pick up and deliver the cake on the wedding day. When the cake was delivered some of the bride's relatives surprised her by ordering Wisconsin sports regalia for the cake table. Bucky sat in the middle of the table with the banners surrounding him. I've been meaning to write and thank you and the staff for the wonderful cake that your company created for my husband's wetting down. The HH-65 helicopter cake was a significant highlight to the celebration (only second placing after my daughter's hula dance dedicated to her dad). Everyone was completely blown away with the cake. My husband, Tom Nelson, would've been so thrilled by it all. The cake itself not only looked FANTASTIC, but also tasted delicious.

It was an extra bonus that there were two sets of the patches. I was able to give the 2nd set to all of Tom's former COs of each air station. They were very honored by the unique gift.

Yesterday, despite I-95 traffic, accidents, and lousy weather all around, we found nothing but sunshine inside of Good Intent Elementary School.

Geof arrived and was professional, very kind and sweet to everyone ... who took soooooooo many pictures of the man AND the cake you woulda thought this was 1964 and The Beatles just came to town!

The cake was stunning! AND... being a cake lover from way back when, AND... a pretty good baker myself if I do say so, THAT was theeeeee best cake and the best icing I have ever tasted!

And THAT is saying something!

Thank you, thank you, thank you....sorry it has taken me a few days to email. We returned home around 2am last Thursday morning and we were exhausted. Mike drove most of the way due to the adrenaline and the "high" he was on.

He could not have been more surprised. I have heard him tell the store already a 100 times and his face still lights up. He told the story as his toast to me, being the "amazing" wife and the perfect gifts that I always give. I can't thank you enough for your help, your generosity in finding the time to spend with us, and for your entertainment.

Mike has a picture of you all on his desk, of course you are on our mantel, and most of all, you are in our hearts. We all have a unique role in each others lives, and watching you all, laughing at all the humor, and making Mike's year, was more than I could ask for.

As a nurse practitioner, I can not wait to tell all my patients at how true to life you all are and how welcomed we were as just normal people. I will send pictures when I get them, and again thanks for everything.

Evan and I would like to thank all of you at Charm City Cakes for the magnificent 13th Birthday cake that you made for Drew. It captured everything that we discussed with Mary Smith so perfectly. All of our guests, kids and grown ups alike, were raving about the detail and creativity of the cake. It put a huge smile on Drew’s face and was everything he had hoped for.

It must be interesting for all of you that complete strangers that watch your program get to know you all a bit. And you seem like a really fun, caring group which is why we feel so comfortable sharing who we are with you. This is a little belated but I wanted to send a couple pictures of our wedding cake! It was absolutely beautiful and people told us they wished they were invited to our wedding to see the cake in person (apparently us exchanging vows was not enough haha).

We knew it was going to look great but it was the best tasting cake we have ever had. All of our guests tried all three flavors and we barely grabbed some of it to save so we could eat it on our one year anniversary.

I also wanted to express my gratitude for providing discounts to teachers. I have been a teacher for 5 years now and I cannot imagine doing anything else. It is so wonderful when the community thanks us for all of our service to children.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for the wonderful "Oak Alley Plantation" cake that you made for my son's wedding. Being from Louisiana, this cake held such special meaning to all of our family and friends. Both my husband and I have many generations of family members in the field of construction; from owning lumber and brick companies to being contractors, developers and architects. And now Everett has begun the next generation of architects. So as you can see, having this wonderful plantation depicted in cake was truly a thrill for all of us. The cake was just spectacular, not to forget to mention delicious! The details, from the doors, windows and shutters to the balcony railings, widow's walk and oak trees, were the most incredible depictions in confection that anyone present has ever seen or probably will ever see again. Again, thank you all for making this day even more special for all of us.

Seeing the cake being constructed on "Ace of Cakes" was so exciting. The show helped everyone understand how difficult it was for y'all to replicate "Oak Alley" and gave all of us an even better appreciation for the finished product.

I would also like to thank Mary Alice for making the experience of planning the cake, and helping Everett to have the opportunity to meet Duff, so easy and fun. I know how difficult your job can be and just wanted to let you know that working with you was such a pleasure.

Sorry this is a little late in coming, we've just finally recovered from my big birthday bash on April 3rd. It was an unbelievable night filled with great food, tons of booze, lots of friends both old and new, but ... definitely one of the highlights of the night was the " NICKI " cake you guys made. It captured the true spirit of our little pup. I loved all the accessories too: the silver beaded bone, the blingy collar, bejewled crowns and cute chew toy. Once we cut into it, no one could believe the amazing construction inside. This was so much more than just "a cake".

Not to mention how yummy and DELICIOUS it was!

WOW….what can I say? Words cannot adequately express our deep appreciation to everyone at Charm City Cakes. THANKS SO MUCH! You all made Ian’s 13th birthday wickedly awesome!

We were amazed with Ian’s birthday cake. It exceeded all of our expectations, and he absolutely loved it! The cake was incredible, including all the details from the mouth guard to the shape of the lacrosse heads to the writing on the game ball – almost an exact copy of his coach’s hand writing. Kudos to Erica for making such a wonderful cake! Thanks to whomever baked it – the chocolate was fantastic, and thanks to whomever packed it up for us. It safely arrived in Pittsburgh (after a four and a half hour drive) without the slightest crack in the fondant. We enjoyed cutting and eating it on Sunday – the kids especially enjoyed eating all the various parts of the cake from the face mask to the lacrosse sticks - it was way cool!

Please pass along our sincere thanks to Elena. She was a gracious host to three huge fans of the show, and we greatly appreciate the picture with Ian and her help in loading the cake into our SUV.

But our BIG thanks goes to you, Mary Alice. You went above and beyond the call of duty to make Ian’s birthday weekend a special celebration. Your early warning about the Baltimore Marathon (we got to see the winner run past Johns Hopkins University around mile 22.5 – way cool) and assistance with hotel recommendations and directions were immensely helpful and deeply appreciated, but your text message on Friday night was literally the “icing on the cake!” He was literally in shock for the next two hours, and I don’t think he really believed us, but when he got your text message, and realized that it was for real, he instantly got extremely excited, told us that “this is so cool!” multiple times, and gave us high fives in the car, repeatedly. Thanks again for the text message. It was great!

It was a more than a HOMERUN! So many people in NJ know of you and have watched the "Ace of Cakes." They marveled at the fact they could actually see one of your cakes.

The black forest flavor was delicious and there were 34 people there and only 4 pieces of cake were left.

The bride's father was so surprised at the family shield for Zemak. In all these years, he did not know that the family had a shield.

Mary Alice, thanks for the directions about keeping the cake at room temperature. Even though it was really hot and humid by the ocean, the cake stayed in great shape! When it was put on the table before the dinner, it looked like I had just picked it up from you.

I would like to thank everyone at the shop for the most beautiful, unbelievable cakes I have ever seen. As soon as I saw the cakes I teared up and just could not explain how great it was to see them. They looked exactly like the pictures. Then when my husband saw them he, too, started to cry.

Thursday night before the party I got a really LONG and not-nice talking to - he told me that if he knew how much this was going to cost he would have never let it go, BUT then when he was looking intensely at the detail on the cakes he leaned over and said to me in a choked up voice "these were worth it".

Everyone at the party were amazed and could not believe that they were cakes that you could eat. So we did eventually cut into them and they all said they were delicious.

Please show these pictures to Erica and Mary and let Erica know that this experience was the most amazing thing I have ever encountered and that she is very, very talented.

I wanted to send you a little note, expressing our delight with the cake that you created for our Company's 50th Anniversary.

The fireman came in one by one and with such a look on their face when they saw their truck there in miniature form - they were amazed by the detail - however one did say that there needed to be a dent in the front fender from where my husband (the chief) hit a pole!

I also wanted to say that Sean who delivered the cake was just a delight and Mary Alice who I spoke with several times couldn't be more patient and helpful. I can see why your company is a success not only do you create such amazing cakes but your staff is down to earth and very professional at the same time.

We justed wanted to tell you again how much your incredible cake meant to all of us. ...the Lincoln Memorial cake was awesome and all of our guests, including the bride and groom, considered it a favorite part of the wedding weekend. Some guests even saved the sugar columns and used them to stir their mojitos the next day.

I really loved the tiny Bret proposing to the tiny Laura on the steps (fabulous job!!) and we carefully removed them before Carlos cut the cake. Luckily, the bride's aunt noticed that the tiny ring box with the tiny diamond was missing and we dug through the cake debris and found it to save for them. Our guests were amazed and delighted; you made a special day even more special.

The cake was a big hit. My parents absolutely loved it, as did everyone at the party. My niece handed out the pieces and made sure to tell everyone that this cake was from "Ace of Cakes". You could hire her for PR.

I was blown away by the cake. Just the wood grain of the floor was fantastic. My father looked at it and said "Look, I'm in the lead. And that's John Bateman in second." John Bateman was his best man and his best friend on the speed team. No one wanted to cut into it, but we're glad we did as the cake was excellent.

Cake was awesome. Everyone wanted a picture around it. The inside was amazing—peanut butter cup. At first I thought, yuck, but of course it was my daughter’s choice as the graduate, but the flavor was wonderful. I wanted to write and thank you SOOO much for the gorgeous Space Shuttle cake! You should have SEEN the NASA geeks checking it for authenticity!! All kinda NASA geeks were having their pictures taken with the cake all night! The night was a NASA themed wedding with each person seated at a table named the Hubble Space Station or the Mars Lander table, etc. 160 folks OOOHED and AHHHHED over the cake all night long.

The most wonderful thing is that the bakery that was to supply the wedding cake was hit by a tornado three days before and was unable to supply the wedding cake. They only let us know the day before the wedding, so that Space Shuttle cake was IT!! - the wedding cake. We would be happy to send you some pics of the bride and groom cutting the cake if you would like!!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! The cake was a huge hit! The wee Ben was the ceterpiece of the entire event! And the wee dogs were fantastic!

Your cakes get some milage: Ben brought in pictures and some leftover cake to his work, including some of the logs and trees. All his coworkers remarked at how delicious the cake was, in addition to being a work of art. A co-worker brought a piece home (including some rocks and logs) to his daughter who is in culinary school. His daughter was so elated to have even a small piece of an actual Charm City Cake, she saved it, rocks and logs included. In fact, it may still be in thier freezer. Glad we could help spead the word of your yummy, beautiful cakes.

Also attached a pic of our first CCC, for Ben in 2006. He was really surprised and delighted both times. That cake didn't travel anywhere.

Of course I loved our wedding & 12 table cakes, also 2006. As is traditional, we saved the top of our wedding cake in the freezer, and ate it on our first anniversary. We drove to Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada to go camping on our first anniversary. When we got there it was pouring rain, so we ate cake! (that cake in the pic spent a year in the freezer and 2 days in a cooler in the car. It was still delicious!)

I wanted to send a big thank you to you and everyone at Charm City Cakes. Especially Elena since she did such an awesome job with the duck. I never thought that eating bullets would be so sweet...

My wife totally freaked out when she realized the duck was a cake. She thought that I had gone crazy and bought some weird duck sculpture that would sit on our mantle forever. We still have the duckie's head in the freezer. We decapitated it Highlander-style (There can be only one!) and are planning on taking it to her mother in California.

Thanks for being so accommodating with all of my changes in plans and frantic emails. I know you get super busy over there, and it meant a lot to me that you were willing to be flexible for us. You guys all rock. Hardcore. I'll let you know the time I need super-secret cake business done.

The cake was a HUGE success. My Dad got a little misty when he saw it. He loved all the little details that were done. Buddy the Chipmunk has been saved as a remembrance too. He cracked up when he saw the Life Saver on the wall and knew exactly why it was there. He was completely amazed and wanted to take what was left to the PMCA convention that week to show it off. I think he took pictures instead.

Not only was he blown away, but at his Church where we served it a bunch of the kids are fans of the show and were so excited to be able to see and eat one of your cakes. Many enjoyed eating the tree tops as well as the cake.

So many smiles from the cake. Worth every penny and the drive. Thank you again!

Thank you for the bowling cake. My wife loved it. The entire staff of Mustang Alley’s also came by to see it and they were all impressed. The best part is that the cake itself was scrumptious! Absolutely worth every penny. I hope to enjoy one of your treats again sometime soon!

Our cake was INCREDIBLE! I can't tell you how impressed Brian and I were with the designs, the intricate details, the taste- everything! I am pretty sure that the wedding ceremony, the reception food, and the party music is all a blur for our guests - they only seem to remember (and talk about) the cake! A few extra pieces even ended up traveling around the country to friends and family that couldn't make it for the festivities.

AND, keep us on the calendar for a 1st anniversary cake- Brian and I didn't get a piece the night of the wedding, so we dug into the purse cake topper for breakfast the next morning - to hell with traditions (and freezer burned cake a year later...)!

I wanted to send you a picture of my sister and I standing with the lawyer cake at our parents’ party on Saturday. It was unbelievable!

As I’m sure you know, it looked even better in person. I cannot tell you the reaction we got when everyone (including the employees at the restaurant) saw it for the first time. It was the most amazing thing I’d ever seen and the chefs and employees in the back of the restaurant said it was like nothing they had ever seen before (and they have had a few CCC cakes delivered there for different events).

It really made the night special and meant soooo much to my parents. It was very difficult cutting into it because no one wanted to ruin it! But it tasted as good as it looked.

We wanted to thank Charm City Cakes so much for making this an unforgettable event.

I wanted to send you a short note to tell you how incredible our cake was! The Dr. Seuss detail in the paintings on the cake and the 3-D characters were absolutely phenomenal. Everyone, including the staff, were amazed by how great it looked! We could not have been more pleased; you far exceeded all of our expectations and everyone there basically marveled at it (well until it got carved up…and then everyone talked about how great it tasted!)

It was better than we could have even imagined. Steven has taken that Cap'n Crunch box, enshrined it under lucite and put it in his office at the top of a small altar, where he will worship forevermore. With one cake you managed to turn my 40-year-old husband into a 10-year-old boy for what may be among the most memorable nights of his life.

We have had such a crazy year I have to first apologize for not sending this much much sooner!! But thank you for an AWESOME CAKE! People are still talking about it. We had folks have three slices of cake so they could try each flavor (my dad being one of them!). It was the centerpiece of the room and it really was stunning. So thank you for your fantastic work!!! I can't tell you how many people asked if they were real flowers. It was a hit!!

It was such a hit that it was all gone!! Every last piece! The cake cutters must have gone through the whole cake, top to bottom because I never saw that beautiful top again. And the kicker is, Bryan and I never had a slice! Short of the bite we fed each other, we never got to try it!

So we will be taking you up on the anniversary topper offer Duff made during our meeting.
