Celebrate Our Heroes

Happy Friday to all our friends near and far!

Celebrate Our Heroes

Next Friday, November 11th is Veteran's Day. We wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all our men and women who have served and are serving our country so that we all may live safely and peacefully.

If you have a hero you'd like to celebrate next weekend, a reminder that we now have Military themed Cakes for Two . Each of the five designs celebrates a branch of our armed services and we are happy to add a custom message for your hero.

Cakes for Two feed about 15 and can be picked up from our shop.

Charm City Cakes is proud to donate $5.00 from each sale of this cake design to the Armed Forces Foundation , which provides support and services to our men and women in uniform.

To place your order for a Cake for Two, please go directly to our website to select your design, flavor, and pick-up date.

Cutie Patootie of the Week

We received this email from Karen across the pond in England and had to share. Cake + School Project = AWESOME!

Thought you might like to see a photo of Kelsey's school science project. She was asked to make a model of a cell and take it into school. At first she wanted to make it out of papier maiche, but then decided to make it from cake! She coloured the icing and added a few sweets to represent the various parts of the cell and labelled it.

She chose an animal cell and produced a wonderful cake which she received a headteacher commendation and 20 housepoints! Her science teacher was amazed at what she'd made and personally took it to show the headteacher!

She loves making cakes and is totally inspired by your team. I wanted to say thank you as you truly give a fantastic insight into the art of baking and what can be produced out of cake, given a little imagination, patience and a whole lot of fun!

Congratulations on your fantastic project and 20 housepoints, Kelsey! We love your Animal Cell cake, in particular the smooth endoplasmic reticulum.

That's it from Remington Avenue. Have an extraordinary weekend, everybody!
